Medical Students for a Sustainable Future is excited to announce that we will be holding our annual conference, Climate Health Equity Day: Our Patients, Our Planet, Our Future on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 in collaboration with the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health. We plan to make this year our biggest conference yet, so we hope you will join us at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center in Washington, D.C. or tune in virtually on Zoom.
Our goal is to create a space for students in the health professions to build community and connect with leaders in the climate and health space. The conference will feature research sessions where students will present projects related to the health impacts of climate change, climate-smart health care, curricular development, quality improvement, educating decision makers, and creative works. We look forward to connecting with you all in the Spring!

We recognize the financial considerations for those who are planning to attend in person in Washington, D.C. Use this link to apply for scholarship support until 11:59 pm on Sunday, February 16th. We will have funding available to provide partial reimbursement for in-person attendees. Preference will be given to presenters.
The Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health organizes major medical societies representing over 1 million physicians and health professionals to carry three simple messages:
1) Climate change is harming Americans today, with people of color and communities living in poverty experiencing greater harm.
2) The way to slow or stop these harms is to decrease the use of fossil fuels and increase energy efficiency and the use of clean energy sources.
3) These changes in energy choices will improve the quality of our air and water and bring immediate health benefits.
We thank them for their support in organizing this event and for welcoming the next generation of climate-conscious health care providers into their coalition.
In addition, we'd like to thank our generous sponsors: The American Academy of Medical Colleges (AAMC), GreyBird, Express Insights, My Green Doctor, Dr. Rob and Lori Byron, and Dr. Barb Erny
